Seeking support on your upcoming wedding… What’s the expected timeline you expect to receive a response in? Obviously sooner the better but what’s a general professional expectation? I’m honestly baffled at these delays 🫤 Night and day between the immediate responses and multiple day/no response people. imo we’ve gotta up our games.

Anything logistical that affects the rest of us…please get ahead of it. Odds are the clients are going to forget to tell me and I’ll find out way too late 😅

Just saw a planner announce a wedding published on Vogue and tag the main photographer plus 3 people from her team. Maybe she said that was totally fine, idk. I just don’t really see the photographer tagging her full team herself... Personally, I think tagging someone's full team ESPECIALLY for a publication in VOGUE, shouldn't be up to anyone other than who hired them. Just an opinion! I've never seen credit with multiple planners and florists with different teams. Odd!!!

I think about this for myself…I don’t want weddings below $20k, but am I still pricing like demand is what it was 3 years ago? People are shopping longer, negotiating more, and expecting more before they’re even willing to book 😬

There are sooo many options now that I don’t think there’s fear of missing out on a specific person. If someone books, cool. If not, there are 20 more accounts that feel similar enough. So people keep shopping, compare everything, with no rush, and don’t seem worried about someone becoming unavailable. They’re in contact with a bunch.. It feels like “we have to have them” is becoming way less common. Which was such a thing with millennials. Haven’t had THAT expressed in a long time 😅

I’m actually good at these calls. I know how to lead, connect, read the client and close. Then a planner joins and suddenly I’m like wait…are they leading? Am I? they’ve probably heard this exact spiel 500 times. Every planner is different and sometimes they ask something completely out of left field 😅 I just feel way less natural with another vendor sitting there basically watching me do my thing lol

If the entire post is built around a photographer’s images, why is their credit sometimes buried at the bottom of a long vendor list? The photos are literally the content being used to promote everyone else’s work. I’m not saying photographers need to be listed first every single time, but top 3 feels pretty reasonable. Credit shouldn’t feel like fine print.

They’re taking a long time to still decide after being in contact, acting without urgency…with the wedding just 1-3 months out. On the backend for me, having to find a reliable team last minute is chaotic! And they all have planners…any planners to enlighten us on what’s going on?

Nothing wildly dramatic. Just one of those situations where the reputation, aesthetic, and industry status were great, but the actual collab felt stressful, controlling, or way more difficult than it needed to be!!! I think this happens more than people admit because nobody wants to sound ungrateful for the access or talk shit 🫣
